Improve MRI Team Communications and Throughput

MRI and advanced scanning suites can operate at maximum throughput yet still maintain calMRI Control Suite Headset Usem for patients' comfort.

A lead RN said:  "The control room has never been so quiet before. It was far more professional".

Team members communicate more effectively and discreetly, without raising voices or difficulty, wearing QDigital wireless headsets - and the communication quality is excellent.

"Before using the headsets, the control room had been "chaotic" during simultaneous procedures in the two adjacent rooms."

The system also offers benefits to operating and teaching theaQDigital DECT hands Free Headsettres.

A surgeon and four assistants used QDigital wireless headsets for closed team communications in two operating rooms conducting cardiac electrophysiology procedures and implantation of pacemakers and cardioverter-defibrillators, segregated from neighbouring procedure rooms. The surgeon used the headset, hands free, to give directives to assistants.

When tested, the QDigital system provided reliable, clear communications amongst team members in a 5,000 sq ft facility containing two operating rooms and a control room, separated by leaded windows. Staff confirmed that communications using the headsets were precise without raising their voices to be heard

Call Systems Technology's integrated communications package for hospital MRI Scanning rooms and operating theatres uses Quail Digital hands-free headsets.

Wearing headsets, a surgeon or scanning suite manager is able to communicate effectively with nurses and other team members to ensure the smooth running of procedures. Without headsets, team members may have to rely on hand signals, talking or shouting, sometimes even leaving the room to seek additional help.
