JTECH Communications Inc. was launched in 1988 in the USA by David Miller, a restaurateur frustrated with long customer queues and communications between his kitchen and front of house staff at his busy Florida waterside restaurant, Mr. Laff's. He and his partner invented the WaiterCall and CustomerCall systems and quickly became worldwide suppliers of theses revolutionary restaurant paging systems.

In 1995, Peter Hutchinson was tasked with opening the JTECH Communications UK office, to meet the growing demand from the European market. Following a successful management buyout the company was re-branded as Call Systems Technology Ltd (CST) and were swiftly established as the official European Distributor for JTECH products.
Today, London based CST are the UK's market leaders in Wireless on-site commmunications, Alarm Monitoring and security solutions.
