Big Brother's Love Buzzer

Big Brother's Love Buzzer helps CST celebrate 10th anniversary

CST helps deliver better customer service and more profits

Pink, Furry Orlaith Alert!

Big Brother's Love Buzzer helps CST celebrates its tenth anniversary

The Restaurant Show 2005, 19-21 Sept 2005

Stands 4041 and 5078

Call-Systems Technology (CST), the leader in communications for the restaurant and hotel industry, is ten years old at The Restaurant Show 2005. In fact, CST first launched itself (as JTech Call Systems) at the 1995 Show and has exhibited at every one since. And to celebrate, the company that used previous Restaurant Shows to launch such innovative and popular systems as WaiterCall, CustomerCall and AlarmAlert will unveil…. Big Brother's Love Buzzer!

"We figured it would be great for raising the fun factor (and the buzz) at the Show," explains Managing Director Peter Hutchinson, "so the pink furry pager will be there in the flesh."

In fact, the controversial 'Love Buzzer' used by BB contestant Orlaith was a customised CustomerCall unit, supplied to Big Brother by CST. The pager, in its pink furry holder, discreetly alerted Orlaith that she was secretly to act romantically with other contestants. After the Show CST will be auctioning the buzzer for charity, so if you want to own a piece of 'pop' culture, come to the stand for details of the sale.

Says Peter Hutchinson: "Our ten years has been marked by innovations, including the original CustomerCall and WaiterCall, that have not only helped restaurateurs deliver better customer service but also helped them increase their profitability. Doing either is good, doing both at the same time is an unusual combination we're particularly proud of!"

Visitors may recognise another 'TV pager-personality' on the stand, in the shape of units supplied by CST to BBC's Holby City, which were used to warn of a cardiac arrest
