Call Systems Technology (CST) offers a wide range of paging and two-way systems programmed to provide labour efficiency and cost savings to our clients. Our solutions are found in 5-star hotel chains, investment banks, household-name retailers, super-yachts, football stadiums, global restaurant groups, and many other industries and sites around the world.

We have a vacancy for an Electronics Production Technician. The role is working in a tech bench environment to undertake various assembly tasks, primarily hand assembly of paging and radio systems. The candidate must be numerate, literate, manually dexterous, methodical and with an eye for detail.

The candidate will be expected to have the following skills and experience:

  • Good understanding of electronics, wiring and simple PCB assembly
  • Experience of working with electronic equipment / machines / tools
  • Able to follow simple build diagrams / drawings
  • Understand ESD handling of electronic components and assemblies
  • Be able to use a desktop PC, IT literate in Microsoft products including Excel & Word
  • Have hands-on ability with attention to detail
  • Previous experience working within a team and working to strict deadlines

Electronics Production Technician Responsibilities:

  • Working in a tech bench environment to undertake various assembly tasks involving occasional hand soldering, hand placement, cable and wire assembly and general assembly techniques for production.
  • Manually build finished products - cables, batteries, transmitters (pre-assembled), PCB boards, LED and electronics.
  • Programming devices to the correct frequency  
  • Carry out basic mechanical tasks using small tools and other general assembly tasks.
  • Use of electrical test equipment, meters and computer test systems
  • Carry out inspection and Quality Control of assembled products
  • Ad hoc technical department duties

Desirable attributes:

  • Education in Electronics Engineering BTEC Level 3 or higher or at least 5 years’ experience
  • Demonstrate your ability to follow instruction and attention to detail
  • Be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business in peak times (occasional overtime)
  • Appreciation of health and safety guidelines
  • Ideally you will have experience of working in a similar industry or with technical equipment
  • Full right to work in the UK (required)
  • Live within a reasonable commute of Elstree, Hertfordshire (WD6 3SJ)

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • 37.5 hours/week, Monday – Friday, scheduled between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm

£24k - £27k, depending on experience
