About the Role:
- Supervising the Production Technicians, encouraging mutual respect and great teamwork to deliver first class service both internally and to external customers
- New Releases: understand all new software and hardware products for each project
- Assist the Technical Manager with all new software and hardware products to be operationally assessed as part of technical sign off procedure
- Provide high-level 2nd-line support to customers and resellers escalated through Customer Service and report any technical issues to the Operations Manager and/or Technical Manager
- Monitor the technical skillset and knowledge of the Production Technicians, developing their knowledge where possible and arranging training when required
- Carry out personal development reviews and objective setting in line with company objectives
- Provide pre-installation support to Operations and Sales; assist the Project Engineer to arrange pre-installation site surveys, specify equipment and create reports
- Assisting the Project Engineer and Operations Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget; going on-tools to increase the build-capacity of the Production Dept when needed
- Create and maintain mini-project documentation and maintain the IT support systems, ensuring project data is kept up to date
- Delivery in a timely fashion of all site-survey reports, service call report, customer sign off documentation, along with mileage, timesheets, and site visits

Experience:
- At least 5 years in a similar production role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position
- Excellent understanding and hands-on capability of paging systems, two-way radio systems and IT hardware/software solutions
Accreditations:
- Electrical awareness/qualification (ECS or above)
- HND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Prince 2 or equivalent methodology (ideally)
Location:
Call Systems Technology office in Elstree, Herts
Salary:
£30,000 - £40,000
Hours of work:
Mon – Fri, 37.5 hours/week
