About the Company:

Call Systems Technology is seeking a Production Technician to join the team at our Elstree/Borehamwood site. As a Production Technician, your precision, attention to detail and technical expertise will ensure that our products meet the highest standard of quality and performance.


Call Systems Technology (CST) provides wireless communication and critical alert solutions, with installations in over 20,000 sites and a global presence in over 40 countries. Our products include wireless call points, critical alert messaging, call button solutions, paging systems, two-way radios and our Gen2 messaging and alarm monitoring software.

 

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and configuration of systems across CST’s product range
  • Take responsibility for allocated daily task list
  • Support implementation of production scheduling plans and completion dates
  • Test products at various stages of assembly, identifying any problems to your manager
  • Assist with inspection, testing and evaluation for bought-in materials, components, finished products and returned equipment
  • Investigate and report faults on returned equipment and failures on the production line
  • Build and test pre-production models for the Technical Department as per technical instruction
  • Prepare trial and demonstration equipment to Sales Department requirements
  • Follow documented production processes, work methods and health and safety for workers
  • Report on Quality Control issues and manage documentation
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety
  • Manage the continuous conformance to safe working practises, always ensuring adherence to Health & Safety legislation

What we are looking for in a Production Technician: 

  • 2+ years of practical experience in mechanical assembly
  • Ability to read assembly and wiring drawings
  • Must be able to demonstrate hands-on experience in similar previous roles
  • Must be able to solder, prepare cables, and understand basic electrical wiring
  • Strong focus on quality and customer pride
  • A recognised relevant engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship, NVQ etc

Please note: This is not a suitable role for a graduate engineer with no work experience. This is also a very hands-on role, using bench equipment and participating in regular training sessions with other team members. As such, this role is a full-time site-based role.

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • 37.5 hours/week, Monday – Friday, scheduled between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm

Salary:

£23k - £27k, depending on experience
