Welcoming Our First Apprentices
At Call Systems Technology Ltd (CST), we know that the best way to secure the future is to invest in people today. This September, we’re proud to launch our very first Apprenticeship Programme welcoming two Sales Apprentices and three Technical Apprentices to our team.
This milestone isn’t just a new initiative, it marks the beginning of a journey that reflects CST’s 30-year commitment to nurturing talent, supporting growth, and shaping the future.


Why We Started the Programme
For three decades, CST has thrived on the dedication, talent, and innovation of our team. Many colleagues have grown with us, building deep expertise that strengthens our foundation. That legacy is a key asset, and we’re committed to building on it by investing in emerging talent and fresh perspectives to drive our future.
We wanted to create opportunities for curious, passionate, and ambitious individuals to begin their careers with us, not as “finished articles”, but as people with the right values and drive to learn. With structure, support, and hands-on experience, we can build the skills together.
Building the Genesis Programme
Our apprenticeship journey began with a simple but challenging question:
How do we find future technical and sales specialists in such a niche industry?
The first step was partnering with local colleges, training providers, and organisations such as Oaklands College and Herts Growth Hub, giving us access to excellent facilities and expert support.
From there, we developed the Genesis Programme, a pathway designed not just for apprentices, but for all CST employees to continue learning and growing.
This programme was crafted by our People Manager, with support from the Operations Manager, Managing Director, and external training providers. Together, they shaped a structure that blends government-funded apprenticeships with CST’s in-house training.

What We’re Looking For
When selecting our apprentices, we didn’t focus on technical skills or prior sales experience. Instead, we looked for values that align with CST:

This apprenticeship is a natural extension of our 30-year success story. Just as many of today’s leaders developed their expertise within CST, we hope that in 10 years’ time, today’s apprentices will be thriving in their careers, guiding the next generation and helping us remain a leader in our field.
